Top Box: April

I finally get my Topbox monthly now! Yay! I have always been impressed with the Topboxes and ever since December I have been waiting for a box. Thankfully in January, I got a free box from them and I got to try it out. I feel in love from the start.
This month was a good box too and I like every product from the looks since I have not tried them all out yet. I plan on staying subscribed to Topbox for a while!

The tube packaging changed this month to be even more environmental friendly and in the upcoming months you can choose which tube packaging you would want. Just in case you use the tubes for something and want them to be more decorative. But I feel like this months tube, you could paint and make them all funky. :)

The cards were a little smaller too since April is the month with Earth Day:

The product card:

Principessa Beauty: Dry Shampoo: How to open: Peel off sticker from lid. This dry shampoo is a silky multi-use powder is a refreshing treat, talc free (naturally) and designed to keep you shower fresh all day and smelling amazing with our isolina fragrance.

Unfortunately, I received this product in the January box I got. :( But even before I got my April box, Topbox checked to see if I was getting this and noticed that I was so they said they would put a special product in my May box for me. Which is amazing customer service! I do like this dry shampoo but my first one is hard to open so I don't use it often but this one isn't so I might use it more.
Also, if you have black hair, this does show up a bit lighter even though it is brown but it is definitely better than white!

Full Price: $24 for 125g

Benefit: The POREfessional: Quickly minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines for smoother-than-smooth skin! Apply this silky, lightweight balm alone, under or over makeup. Translucent, oil-free formula complements all skin tones and helps makeup stay put.

I already have this sample from a Glymm box awhile ago and I use it everyday. I was hoping I wouldn't run out for awhile since it is slightly expensive to buy again but you barely need any so it does last a long time and a full size would be worth the price. But hey, now I don't have to. (at least for now!)

Full Price: $34 for 22mL

Bella Pella: Body Lotion: Enjoy the exotic perfume of the South Pacific flowers with this lightweight non greasy lotion. Enriched with avocado oil, jojoba oil and shea butter.

I haven't tried this yet, I could have today after I shaved but I forgot about it. :) The smell is okay, it isn't my favourite but it also isn't intolerable. The sample size is an okay size, not too big or not too small. It is good for travelling or even to keep in your purse incase your arms or legs get dry.

Full Price: $15.95 for 175mL

Misa: Nail Lacquer: With a colour to suit any craving, Misa delivers the most fun, exciting and professional colours to indulge in. Misa's formula of nano-silver particles reduces chipping and is non-fading for optimal shine.

I really like this colour and I don't think I have anything like it (which is surprising)! I haven't actually tried this colour out yet though so I can't comment on the chipping or fading but I am excited to and it will probably be my next toe colour!

Full Price: $8.99 for 15mL

Also included in the box were 2 little samples of Cargo Blu-ray Pressed Powder. This powder was developed for high definition filming and the high tech ingredients reduce redness and hide fine lines! Sounds amazing!
I haven't actually used these yet, I forgot. I have such a routine down that my mind doesn't even think about these. Whoops!

All the products together!

Value of the Box:

Dry Shampoo: $5.76
Porefessional: $11.59
Body Lotion: $2.73
Nail Polish: $8.99

Total: $29.07

Like I said, I like this box :) It had a product for everything! Skin, Makeup, Nails and Hair. (no idea why I capitalized those) Everything was a good size sample and they are good quality brands. I don't really have much to say except that I really liked this box. Topbox is great compared to some of the other companies that have boxes and their customer service is amazing!

DID YOU GET A TOPBOX?
DID YOU LIKE IT?
GET ANYTHING DIFFERENT THAN ME?

Glymm Box: April

Hey guys! I got my Glymm box on April 19th this month because Glymm was a little late shipping the boxes out. I am not sure if they forgot to ship my box this time though. Facebook said all boxes were shipped out the 13th but a lot of boxes got shipping numbers saying they were shipped the 16th or 17th. So who knows.
This is what I got in my Glymm box this month:

The product card:

LUCIA: No. 1 and No. 6 Soap: These refined jewels are packed with pure botanical extracts and enriched with 100% certified organic Shea Butter. Not only will your skin feel silky-soft, it will also be thoroughly cleansed and smelling so seductive. Go ahead, drape yourself in luxury, you know you want to. Signature scents include: Goat Milk & Linseed and Wild Ginger & Fresh Fig.

Does anyone know if we are supposed to get two soaps? I only got one and it wasn't soap #1 or #6. It was number 4. The scent is okay, but it isn't my cup of tea. I will probably give it to my mom or it will sit in my drawer. So I haven't tried out this soap and probably won't.

Full Price: $17.50 for a pack of 8 soaps

Atelier Cologne: Orange Sanguine Fragrance: Atelier Cologne is a niche perfume house base in Paris and New York. Each scent is intended to embody a "singular moment" of memory and experience. We present to you Orange Sanguine. "It was the kind of moment you would want to revisit. Everyone was here, gathered on the terrace from breakfast and the scent of fresh oranges was diffusing in the yellow heat. A symphony of their laughter and waves hitting the cliffs played in the air."

This perfume does smell like an orange. It is actually really nice but it isn't a spray top. :( I realize this isn't Glymm's fault though. I feel like I wouldn't want to wear this outside in the summer because bees would be attacking me. It smells like oranges that much. I probably won't purchase full size because it is a little expensive but it is nice to have for now!

Full Price: $60 for 30mL or $165 for 200mL

Free Your Mane: Sulfate Free Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner: "I'm sorry, I can't make it, gotta wash my hair." You will totally use this line after trying this shampoo and conditioner. It gently cleanses hair and scalp while natural oils help rebuild your hair's delicate moisture balance. With an exclusive blend of Brilliant Baobab Oil from Africa, ultra-moisturizing Argan Oil from Morocco, anti-oxidant rich Pomegranate Seed Oil and Sweet Almond Oil it will truly Free Your Mane.

After reading that description, I want to try out this shampoo and conditioner to see what they smell like and how they make your hair feel. I just wish that companies would put their shampoo/conditioner samples in bottles! I hate the packaging of packets. They are more maintenance then they need to be. I will probably get one or two uses out of this sample.

Full Price: $16 for 300mL

Mai Couture: Social Gloss: Treat your lips with luxury you simply can't live without. Not only will this gloss fill in unwanted lines and restore moisture but it will create full kissable lips. Your lips will be healthy and plump. This sheer formula will create a sumptuous and luminous sheen. The secret: A complex mix of plant extracts naturally enhances lip volume effortlessly without the allergen. Your lips will be the life of the party.

I really like this lip gloss. I don't think I would purchase more just because they are sort of expensive and I have enough lip gloss. :) The colour is pigmented enough so you can see the baby pink colour but not opaque enough to make you look dead. It is a very soft, non-sticky formula so if you hate sticky lip gloss I would recommend you look into these.

Full Price: 5mL for $28

As a bonus, Glymm included a $100 gift certificate to use towards NuMe hair extensions or styling tools. I feel like this is the replacement to jelly beans. I prefer jelly beans. :) By giving out gift certificates, it makes me spend money! Thankfully, this time I didn't need hair extensions or styling tools.
You don't have to spend a certain amount to get the $100 off. But NuMe products are more than $100 so you will need to spend an addition amount. :( Which sucks and that is another reason I don't like things like this. I would rather another product.

The code is: NUME100
in case you wanted to use it and didn't get a Glymm box and it expires August 31, 2012.

All of the products together:

Value of the Box:

Soap: $2.19
Perfume: $2.50 assuming the sample is 1.25mL
Shampoo and Conditioner: $0.79
Lip Gloss: $28.00

Total: $33.48
Technically the $100 gift certificate is a BONUS and is not put toward the total but if you use it then I guess your box is worth a lot. :)

I personally did not like this box. On thing that always makes me happy with Glymm is that you get a make up product and most of the time it is full size. I really like the lip gloss in the box so it makes it worth it. But I don't like the soap. I would prefer a spray perfume or no perfume (perfume samples are worth like nothing and to me are just filler in a box)
The shampoo and conditioner sample is a joke... like really? $0.79? I don't pay $10 a month for a $0.79 sample. :(
The lip gloss makes up for it though. I will actually use it and eventually go through it.
Hopefully next month is better. Or even the next few months because my subscription is done in July! If they don't get much better, I probably won't subscribe again.

WHAT DID YOU GET IN YOUR BOX?
WILL YOU STAY SUBSCRIBED?
DID YOU LIKE YOUR BOX OR NO?

Glossy Box: March

Glossy box had to be my favourite box this month! It was very delayed with shipping because one of the samples was stuck in customs. When I first got my box I didn't think it was anything special (besides the sample sizes) but after having it open, I started to use the products and really like them. :)

Cutest packaging :)

All the cards in the envelope:

Aveeno: Daily Moisturizing Lotion: This naturally nourishing lotion contains natural colloidal oatmeal blended with rich emollients and is clinically proven to moisturize for a full 24 hours.

When I first saw this in my box, I thought great another lotion that I can get at the drugstore. But this sample size is huge compared to what you get in the other boxes. I haven't tried it yet, but I am looking forward to being moisturized for 24 hours so I hope it works!

Full Price: $11.99 for 354mL

Bailey Cosmetics: Fresh Lip Gloss in Berry: Bailey Cosmetics Fresh Lip Gloss in Berry is the perfect colour accent for women who want a sheer bump of colour to enhance their pout.

I tried this the first day I got it because it happened to match my outfit. :) I really like this. I didn't think I would like the colour too much but I LOVE it. I don't own any wine coloured lip sticks or glosses so this is perfect for the darker lip! (and it isn't sticky and feels moisturizing)

Full Price: 8g for $28

Evian: Brumisateur Facial Spray: Evian's facial spray rehydrates dull, tired skin and is great for setting and renewing your makeup throughout the day, keeping you looking fresh, healthy and beautiful.

I have heard a lot about this spray and don't know how I feel about it. With summer coming up though it will be cool to try it when I am outside at the beach or something. I am not normally a person to spray stuff on my face.

Full Price: $7 for 50mL , $12.50 for 150mL , $17.50 for 300mL

Pandora's Makeup Box: Blush in St. Tropez: Pandora's Blush St. Tropez is a beautiful pink blush that can be used all year round and added to any bronzer. Pandora's Makeup Box products were designed for professional use and are pigmented so they will last all day long.

I haven't tried this yet. When I swatched it, it wasn't very pigmented (but for blushes it is always different on your face anyways) and was kind of chalky so I am hesitant to put it on. Also right now, I am loving using a peach blush with a light pink over top, this colour is a little darker pink for what I want but I will try it soon!

Full Price: $18 for 4g

Sebastian: Reshaper Hairspray: Brushable, strong hold hairspray for all types. Bends any movement into shape with long-lasting hold and humidity protection all in one. Re-style into any shape and re-form ingenious hold. Sebastian Professionals is a salon exclusive brand - visit www.sebastianprofessional.com to locate a salon in your area.

When I first saw this I wasn't excited because I rarely use hairspray. But I recently took out my extensions and my hair is all one length now so I curl it everyday now. This hairspray works amazing! It is touchable and it holds my curls even over night. It comes out kind of strong but you just have to hold it further away from your head.

Full Price: $19.95 for 43g

Algemarin: Foam Bath: Algemarin is made from extracts of seaweed, algae and mineral salts which give the body a tonal quality that previously was only obtainable from hydrotherapy or sea bathing. "Spring forward" feeling rejuvenated and refreshed.

As a bonus, this is a good sample. I don't take baths very often (I prefer to shower) so I don't buy bubble bath. I like when I get a little sample like this because I will use the whole thing in one go and it is a little treat to have. Will I buy a full size, probably not especially because it is a little pricey.

Full Price: $3.99 for 5X5 mL , $17.99 for 500mL , $23.95 for 750mL

Value of the Box:
Body Lotion: $2.40
Lip Gloss: $28.00
Facial Spray: $7.00
Blush: $18.00
Hair Spray: $19.95
Foam Bath: $3.99

Total: $79.34

I really like this box. 4 of the products were FULL SIZE! The lotion and the foam bath weren't full size (you can get the foam bath in this size though) but the amount of product that you got in those samples were amazing!
I LOVE the lipgloss and the hairspray and I will probably really like the blush too but I have to try it first! Once I find a combination of blushes I like, I tend to stick to it so I will have to get this one out one day!

I like the variety of this box. There was 2 skin products, 2 make up products, a hair product and a bath product. So there is something for everyone. For someone like me, you subscribes for makeup, I was so happy to see 2 full sized make up products.
I hope Glossy boxes will be like this (or at least similar) to this box every month. I have loved at least one product out of the two boxes I have gotten and I hope it continues like that! I think it is totally worth the $15 a month and I will definitely be staying subscribed!
